Laurence bought me some water soluble pastels and they were put to good use in this layout 🙂
The words are John Denver’s and the inspiration for the suitcases is from the net.
I am rather proud of drawing the suitcases freehand as it’s something I have never attempted in the past. Typically I would have looked for an image online or gone through my stash for an appropriate stamp.
The background was gesso + acrylic paints. There are a few archival inked stamps in there as well.
The sentiment is a printout, distressed with watercolour and defined with a fine line marker pen.
IMPORTANT LIFE LESSON: Be careful when using a fine line marker on water soluble crayon – I ruined the nib of two pens! I should have made sure that the crayon was completely blended.
