I had some Big Fab wool leftover from my last project; a gorgeous plum colour. What else was I going to make but a storage basket, eh?

The patter is really simple and you can find it here . Took me about an hour to make and is really handy for storing bits and bobs, as you can see.
The size of the basket depends on the yarn and hook. I used Paton’s Big Fab with a size 10 crochet hook so the basket is a good size.
If you wanted to use thinner yarn you could always increase the number of stitches; it’s a simple pattern and easy to modify.
