Made this for the Sketch Challenge on Splitcoaststampers (still trying to find my way around that one!)
This is my first ever sketch challenge and I tried to think out of the box 🙂
This was the sketch:
And this was my interpretation:
Laurence tells me that it’s the best card I’ve made so far:)
Method
I punched out three circles of printed cardstock and cut it into half to make the birds.
The tree and the background were hand drawn on handmade paper (from Paperchase) and coloured in with Winsor & Newton inks and outlined with a fine tip pen.
The leaves are from a Woodware set and I used the lovely, eco friendly Paris Trunk inkpad in Emerald Green.
The sentiment was taken from Tim Holtz’s words sticker collection.
The panel was faux stitched with a black Sharpie and adhered to a black card blank made from Papermania’s Textured card stock
